Ingredients:
- 125 g maple sugar
- 100 g butter cut in pieces
- 100 g flour
- 100 g ground almonds (or hazelnuts)
- 5-6 large apples
- 2 tbsp. maple syrup (optional)
Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).
For the crumble: mix all the dry ingredients and add the butter, work into a crumbly mass with your fingers.
Peel and core the apples, cut them into pieces and put them in the dish. If you are a sugar lover, mix 2 tablespoons of maple syrup with the apples (this is a must if you are from North America, otherwise it might not be sweet enough ;-), for the Swiss it will be perfect without!).
Cover the apples with the crumble. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the crumble is golden. Serve with sour cream.
