Alexandre Guimond
Canadian by birth and a mechanical engineer by training, Alexandre is the maple syrup expert. In 2015, he took over the "Erablière des Aigles" in Quebec, which he operates with the help of his parents. When he's not in Canada, he juggles his role as a dad, promoting maple products in Switzerland and getting away from it all by bike or on foot, in search of the steepest hills. His secret? He fuels on maple!
Nadine Ringgenberg
Co-owner of the Erablière des Aigles, Nadine has followed Mawoo since its early days. A biologist and animal welfare specialist, she decided to make the leap to entrepreneurship in 2021. She loves good food, her road bike and dangling in a hammock with her daughters. Fluent in English, French, German and determination, she wants to bring the deliciousness of all things maple to Switzerland.
Turning nature into pleasure
Produced in Canada by Alex, our maple syrup is certified Bio Bud. In Switzerland, it is turned into delicious products in our workshop or by trusted manufacturers. Our other ingredients are carefully selected according to their quality and origin, giving preference to Swiss ingredients whenever they are available.
An ancestral tradition
The harvesting of maple sap has been a tradition in Canada for many centuries. Although techniques have evolved, the production of maple syrup still follows the same long and patient process over the years: tapping in winter, harvesting and concentration in spring, taking care of the forest in the fall.
