Cooked pears with maple sugar


Ingredients


- 7-8 medium pears

- water

- 3-4 tbsp maple sugar


Wash the pears, leave the stalk on.


Place them standing up in a pan. Add water up to 3/4 of the height of the pears.


Sprinkle with 3-4 tablespoons of maple sugar.


Cook over medium-high heat for at least 2 hours with the pan half-covered until the water has turned syrupy and the pears are soft.


Serve the pears cold in the syrup.
